Our Story
Smoky Mountain K9 Sports was founded in the spring of 2018. We initially wanted an outlet for our dogs but quickly realized that there are so many other dogs in our area that could benefit from organized canine sports. We love being active with our pups and wanted to share that love with others.
As dock diving is the sport with which we are the most familiar, that was the first to be added to our repertoire. The pool was built along with the pavilion for people to come and watch the dogs doing what they love. There is nothing better than watching a dog doing what they love and we want to share that joy with others.
Our next sport to be added was disc, specifically UpDog Challenge games. We love how disc is a sport which can channel the dogs love of running into something with a purpose. UpDog is designed in such a way that people new to the sport can also be successful as they learn and grow in their technique.
We hope to add more sports to SMK9Sports as we grow and would love to hear from you for ideas you would like to see added to our facility.
